Here are some common questions about FJDynamic FR4000 Robotic Mower.

No. It uses a GNSS-based virtual boundary system, so there’s no need to install physical wires.

Yes. To ensure optimal performance, please follow these guidelines:

• Choose an open area with a clear view of the sky.

• Install the base station at a high location whenever possible.

• Avoid any obstructions between the base station and the mower.

• Mount it on a stable structure that won’t shift or move.

• Ensure the location allows for power supply.

At least 1 kilometer.

• Rain may slightly affect the positioning accuracy of the base station and the mower, but the impact is minimal.

• All components are rain-resistant. The mower is rated IPX5, the base station IP67, and the charging station IP65.

The base station can be moved. However, after relocating it, all previously marked charging station locations and mapped boundaries in the software will change, requiring a complete reset. Therefore, it is recommended to deploy it correctly the first time to avoid moving.

No, currently only FJD products are supported.

Yes, for details about solar power systems, please consult your sales manager.

Yes, first you need an active Ntrip account. Input the account into the FJDLandscaping app to enable network base station positioning.

Yes, but relocation changes the path from the charging station to the work area, requiring remapping.

(1) Installed on flat ground.

(2) ≥2m obstacle-free space in front; ≥1.5m on both sides.

(3) Grass height under station ≤5cm (≈2 inches).

(4) Open sky view (no obstructions).

(5) Access to wired power supply.

(6) Clear path from station to work area.

Clarification:

(1) Recommended but not mandatory.

(2) Without base station, use Ntrip + Cors network for positioning.

(3) Without charging station, "stationless startup" is supported (no auto-return).

Placement rules:

(1) RTK base station must be outdoors.

(2) Charging station: outdoor recommended; indoor allowed if robot can exit via vision mode. .

Can be deployed inside or outside the mowing area. Minimize distance to reduce idle travel time.

2.5cm diameter.

Supported lawns:

(1) Residential

(2) Commercial (golf courses, sports fields)

(3) Parks/green spaces

(4) Grass types: Bermuda, fescue, bluegrass, bentgrass, zoysia, ryegrass, etc.

Max grass height: ≤100mm.

Adjustment range: 20-60mm (standard).

Height adjustment: Via app (pre-map, pre-task, or during operation).

(1) When the grass is too tall, it is recommended to first use other equipment to give the lawn a thorough trimming

(2) For the first operation with a small mower, it is suggested that the grass height be within the range of 50–100 mm.

(3) Never cut more than one-third of the plant's height or 25 mm at a time

(4) If a lower cutting height is desired, to prevent excessively long grass clippings that may not be effectively discharged, multiple cutting sessions are recommended

(5) To achieve a neat appearance after mowing, it is best to perform the task in the afternoon or evening when there is less moisture

Actively avoids moving objects via sensors.

Auto-recovery: Reverses path or detours; alerts if stuck.

Operating temp: 0°C to 55°C.

Not recommended (auto-return triggered; poor traction/results).

Not supported (extreme weather monitoring).

Yes, edge trimming enabled if terrain allows vision-based navigation.

Safety measures:

(1) Manual boundary setup to avoid hazards.

(2) Vision sensors provide secondary detection

Weather impact:

(1) Normal operation: Overcast/sunny

(2) Rain: Auto-return
